Lower Stud Welding Electrode
Autotek-Systems has developed a lower stud welding electrode with a vertical pin for manual or auto part loading operations. The pin is exposed much like a weld nut locating pin for correct part location while the work piece is being placed in the tool. Once the stud placement cylinder is activated the pin is pneumatically retracted during the stud insertion process.
Since there is now no locating pin to interfere with the stud insertion, the reliability of this process is greatly improved.
